I started making these prints around 1999. At that time I was working as a Personal Care Attendant for people with chronic and persistent mental illnesses and spent a lot of time in public housing. A lot of characters.

I became increasingly aware of mental health and everywhere I went I began to question who is “ill” and who is just interesting. (I try to put myself in the interesting category).
